Our origins and inspiration
Bridgeway Impact & Empowerment Foundation was founded in response to the alarming number of out-of-school children, widespread poverty, unemployment, and protection concerns prevalent in Northern Nigeria. Our mission is to promote equitable access to education, strengthen community resilience, foster accountable policies, and support sustainable development through strategic partnerships, continuous learning, and innovation. We are deeply committed to implementing programs that deliver positive and lasting impact for these communities.
Driving change
Our primary goal is to significantly reduce the number of out-of-school children and create viable pathways to self-resilience. We aim to promote positive changes towards quality education and peace, while also fostering innovation among the youth in Northern Nigeria. Through our efforts, we envision communities where every child has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
Our approach to making a difference
Bridgeway Impact & Empowerment Foundation makes a difference by collaborating directly with conflict-affected and vulnerable communities. We design and implement locally-led, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that tackle the root causes of poverty, exclusion, and instability. We achieve our goals by partnering with communities, government institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners to enhance access to quality education, protection, livelihoods, and peacebuilding opportunities. We also strengthen local leadership and accountability. Through evidence-based programming, capacity building, advocacy, and community participation, we empower women, youth, and marginalized groups to influence decisions that affect their lives, build resilience to future shocks, and foster peaceful, self-reliant communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.
